My dad got bored one night, popped the movie into the machine and started to write down the serial numbers for the aircraft he could see. Here's a start:

C-131 87790 Brought the senator and the ARDC commander to the AFFTC
XF-92 TBD Gen. Banner crash sequence
H-19 7564 H-19Took senator to Rocket Ridge
XB-51 (XF-120) 6685 Whole movie
F-100C 1572 Chase aircraft - don't recall the scene. Probably when Craven crashed the XF-120
F-100A 52-5778 I grabbed this from NASA Dryden X-press: March 9, 1956 - Capt. Joe B. Jordan flew NACA F-100A for scenes in TTU
F-94C ??? The drag chute sequence, Maj. Bond's aircraft
F-94C 15642 The drag chute sequence, Gen. Banner's aircraft
X-2 6674 The movie star
