Free Showing of the Movie "Toward the Unknown"
Fifty years ago this month, the base theater opened and the movie "Toward the Unknown" played. "Toward the Unknown" was filmed at Edwards with base personnel in supporting roles. In honor of this 50th Anniversary, AAFES is showing the film for free in the Conference Center this Friday, 20 Oct, at 1830 and we will have a group of civilians visiting the base who worked here during that time frame, some of whom were in the film. Everyone is invited to come watch the movie and enjoy a reception with aerospace pioneers afterwards in a small reception.
